The app that won't let you chill.
You've got 3 things you keep "getting to." Chillcore picks the one you're avoiding hardest and makes your life mildly unbearable until it's done. Then — and only then — it shuts up.
18+ · It gets mean · That's the point
You don't have a productivity problem.
You have an avoidance problem.
You know exactly what to do. You've known for 11 days. The task takes 40 minutes. You've spent more time not doing it than it would ever take to do it.
Every other app hands you a dashboard and a dopamine sticker. You need something that notices you're lying to yourself — and calls it.
Three steps. No hiding.
Name it
Name the thing you're dodging. Type it in plain words. Chillcore figures out how big it is and how hard you're avoiding it.
Pick your push
Pick how hard you want to be pushed — from firm to unhinged. Coach, Drill Sergeant, or Demon. You can turn it down anytime — most people don't.
Get finished
Or get exposed. Proof to close. Excuses go on the record. Finish, and you buy silence.
Type up. Turn down anytime.
Level 01
Coach →
Firm, relentless, never cruel. The friend who won't drop it.
No profanity. Available on every platform.
Level 02
Drill Sergeant →
Sarcastic, mocking, in your face. Enjoys watching you squirm into action.
Mocking, no profanity. Softened version in stores.
Level 03
Demon →
No filter, no mercy, all profanity. You have to prove you can take it before it unlocks — and name a friend who'll hear about it when you fail.
18+ only. Web + Android APK. Never in the App Store.
The stuff no other app is dumb enough to build.
→ Earned Silence
Finish a hard one and Chillcore goes completely dark for up to 3 days. The only app whose reward is its own absence.
→ The Buddy
Add a friend as your witness. Dodge long enough and they hear about it. They have to accept first — we don't ambush strangers.
→ The Wall
Every task you quit gets a tombstone with a date. It doesn't come back to life while you're using the app. You have to look at it. (You can erase your data anytime.)
→ The Negotiator
Can't do 100? Fine — 20. Can't do 20? Do 5. Right now. It talks you down to the smallest possible start, then builds you back up.
→ Proof or it didn't happen
Photo, screenshot, or a confession you'll regret. No "trust me, I did it."
Calm is earned, not owed.
Complete a hard task and the tear seals back with a gold seam — the scar remembers, but the card admits it was broken. Every finished thing becomes a repaired luxury object. Kintsugi, not amnesia.
Brutal about your excuses. Never about you.
Chillcore roasts what you did — the dodging, the "tomorrow for sure," the 12th snooze. It never touches who you are.
One word — stop — drops it to gentle mode instantly, on every screen. Demon mode is opt-in, age-gated, and reversible with one tap. It's a tough friend, not a bully.
Read first. Then get roasted.
Why you procrastinate
The research, the failing "solutions," and the tactics that actually stop it.
Plan it. Finish it.
How to plan and finish what you start — task planning that survives Wednesday.
External accountability
The contrarian case for outsourcing your discipline — and how to build it.
Questions you were going to ask.
Is Chillcore an iOS app?
The full version is a Progressive Web App at chillcore.app. On iPhone: add it to your home screen (required for push notifications on iOS — Apple's rule, not ours). A tamed App Store version is planned last on our roadmap. See the FAQ for the full breakdown.
How much does it cost?
Free tier: 2 tasks, Coach only, no buddy. Pro: $9.99/month or $79/year. No ads. No data sales. See pricing.
Is this therapy?
No. Chillcore is entertainment with a productivity outcome. If you're dealing with burnout, grief, depression, or a mental-health crisis, we're the wrong tool. See /safety for real resources.
What's the difference between the three levels?
Coach = firm, no profanity, works everywhere. Drill Sergeant = sarcastic, mocking, still no profanity. Demon = 18+ only, profanity, no filter, requires an armed buddy. All three follow the "Punch → Path" rule: every roast ends in a concrete next step. Details on /levels.
What if I need it to stop?
Say "stop" (voice), tap the Save button (in-app), or reply STOP to any notification. Drops to Coach instantly. Zero questions. 24-hour cooldown before intensity returns.
